Bio

Bevan is an international classical-crossover soprano originally from  Melbourne, Australia. As the granddaughter of a violinist she learnt violin from when she could walk, before later receiving classical vocal lessons from tutors from the Queensland Conservatorium. Realising the usefulness in musical versatility, Bevan went on to study a BA in musical theatre at BAPA (University of Ballarat/FedUni). Today, Bella is a unique hybrid of lyrical-soprano and mezzo-belter which allows her to cover a wide range of musical styles, however is best known for her classical-crossover work.

Bevan has created and performed a handful of one-woman cabarets featured at Melbourne’s Butterfly Club and The Clocktower Theatre, as well as London’s Toulouse Lautrec and Crazy Coqs. Her most notable theatre credit has been her performance as Mae West in the critically acclaimed musical ‘Better Than Sex’ at London’s the Cockpit Theatre in 2021. Bella has performed regularly as the frontman for jazz duo ‘Bella & Louis’ at venues and events including the highly coveted The Arts Club in Mayfair and is excited now to be part of a new acoustic duo (Bella & Breno) with her partner. Last year Bevan released her first EP of pop/house music which she wrote and produced with her brother Ethan Bevan. Meanwhile, Bevan has spent the last 2 years singing on some of the world’s most luxury and largest cruise ships. Currently she continues to write new music having just finished her contract as the lead singer at Le Cabaret Rouge onboard MSC’s 5000+ pax flagship ‘Seascape’.

As a multi-skilled artist, Bella has an MA in Writing from Swinburne University Australia. She not only writes scripts and music but also reviews and interviews for a number of entertainment magazines including BroadwayWorld, BRWC and AussieTheatre. Bella has also had short stories, self-help guides and feature articles published. Currently, Bella is working on the script and music of a new musical, stay tuned for more information.
